Scarce Thomas Denton's Lambeth (Surrey) copper Conder farthing mule token, undated. Obverse: View of castle within wreath. Reverse: Legend on seven lines: "DENTON ENGRAVER & PRINTER 7. MEADOW ROW NEAR THE ASYLUM. LAMBETH.". Plain edge. Thomas Denton was a coin dealer and specialised in making tokens for collectors. This was made with a halfpenny obverse reduced to farthing size and his own reverse. Listed in Dalton & Hamer as "SCARCE". Ex-Gerson Collection. Lovely collectable condition, lightly lacquered in the past, see photograph.
