Donald's Bees and Beehive Nottingham Conder Halfpenny 1792

Donald’s Nottingham (Nottinghamshire) copper Conder halfpenny token dated 1792. Obverse: Legend: “DONALD & CO STOCKING MANUFACTURERS WHOLESALE & RETAIL”, surrounded by oval of leaves with: “PROMISSORY HALFPENNY PAYABLE AT NOTTING’M OR”. Reverse: Bees swarming around a beehive within a circle of leaves with legend: “No 29 BULL STREET BIRMINGHAM 1792”. Plain edge. Donald & Co. were stocking manufacturers of Nottingham and Birmingham. Ex-Roberts-Lewis Collection, bought from Schwer and comes with his original envelope. Nice collectable condition with usual weak centre and old neat lacquer, see photograph.
