Robert Orchard's London (Middlesex) copper Conder farthing dated 1803. Obverse: Legend on eight lines: “ROBERT ORCHARD GROCER & TEA DEALER No 34 GREEK ST. SOHO LONDON WHOLESALE & RETAIL 1803”. Reverse: Four storied building with shop on ground floor and legend: “ROBERT ORCHARD TEA WAREHOUSE CORNER OF CHURCH ST. AND AT SAW BRIDGEWORTH HARTS”. Plain edge. Robert Orchard was a grocer and tea-dealer with a business at 34 Soho Street, London. He also manufactured chocolate and cocoa at Sawbridgeworth. Lovely collectable condition with some subdued lustre remaining, see photograph.
