Rare Fuggle's Goudhurst (Kent) copper Conder halfpenny token dated 1794. Obverse: Kentish horse prancing to the left: “KENT HALFPENNY TOKEN 1794”. Reverse: Shield of arms of the City of Canterbury: “FOR GENERAL CONVENIENCE”. Edge inscription: “PAYABLE BY W. FUGGLES GOUDHURST ++++”. Listed in Dalton & Hamer as "R - RARE". William Fuggle was a freeholder and tallow chandler with a business in Goudhurst. Good collectable condition with usual die flaw, cleaned in the past and now toning out, see photograph.
