Obverse: Detailed view of the City of Gloucester including the canal and a sailing barge: “SUCCESS TO THE TRADE AND COMMERCE OF GLOCESTER 1797”. Reverse: A sailing ship in full sail to right: “GLOCESTER & BERKELEY CANAL ACT OBTAIN’D 1793”. Edge inscription: "PAYABLE AT GLOCESTER". Issued by the Gloucester & Berkeley Canal Company. Reasonable collectable condition with heavy wear on obverse and a slight crimp, see photograph.
