Scarce William Bentley's Dublin (County Dublin) copper Conder halfpenny token dated 1804. Obverse: Initials in script across centre with legend: "LICENCED BY ACT OF PARLIAMENT *** WFB & Co 1804". Reverse: Seated Hibernia holding Irish harp: "PAYABLE AT THE PAWNBROKERS OFFICE BISHOP ST.". Plain edge. Listed in Dalton & Hamer as "SCARCE". William Frederick Bentley was a pawnbroker with a business on Bishop Street, Dublin. Good collectable condition with slightly uneven colour, see photograph.
