Dundee (Angus) copper Conder farthing token dated 1797. Obverse: A horse pulling a cart along a cobbled street. On the cart are two packages marked "DR" and "TR", thought to represent the Dundee Ropery and Tay Ropery respectively, with the cart returning from a trip to the flax heckling works: "SIC ITUR AD OPES", "WRIGHT DES". Reverse: Town Hall: "**DUNDEE FARTHING** 1797", "TRADES HALL". Plain edge. Lovely collectable condition with usual rim die flaw on reverse, see photograph. D&H Angusshire No: 42. Diameter 22mm.
