J M & Co., Dundee (Angusshire) copper Conder farthing token. Obverse: Pair of scales above cypher, "J M & Co", "PAYABLE ON DEMAND DUNDEE". Reverse: A soldier on guard duty with bayonet on musket stands between the breech of a canon and a turret. Plain rounded edge. It is thought that the issuer was a grocer near the barracks, hence the sentry. Listed in Bells "Commercial Coins 1787-1804" as: "SCARCE". Nice collectable condition, see photograph.
