Extremely Rare London Borneo Tobacco Company Ranau (British North Borneo) brass half dollar undated. Obverse: Geometric pattern in centre with legend around periphery: “* LONDON BORNEO TOBACCO CY”. Reverse: Value: “PAYS ½ DOLLAR”. Plain edge. Pridmore stated at the time of compiling his catalogue that no tokens of this company had been traced for examination. However they had been recorded in the Batavia Catalogue of 1896 by J. A. Van der Chijs and one featured in the Brushfield sale of 1949 - lot number 359. Good collectable condition, see photograph.
