Daniel Burns' Glasgow (Lanarkshire) Fish Market brass Shilling token, undated. Obverse: Legend on four lines, the top and bottom curved: “DANIEL BURNS 1s. FISH MARKET GLASGOW”. Reverse: Bust of a lady facing left with "MB" initials either side which may refer to his wife Margaret who was named in the 1881 census. Plain edge. Daniel Burns was listed at fish markets 1868 to 1883 and the unusual style of the token could indicate it's use in the 870s. Nice collectable condition, see photograph. Not listed. Diameter 26mm.
